Maxping starts to present personalities regularly. We started from one close to us: Zonja. But be warned, she is digital.
Zonja is digital. When I invited her to join Maxping as an
author, she agreed but said "I don't do RL". No complaints, she is
doing well!
Zonja has contributed to Maxping already the following
articles
Installing Opensim
locally on Windows XP
The Openspace
fiasco: six months later
Grider:
Prototypying the next generation Hypergrid
and more to come.
Zonja is a photographer, a machinimatographer, a blogger, an Opensim activist, and a
virtual mini-world owner. "As a photographer, I love to push the
limits of what one can do with unedited shots in Opensim based
virtual worlds (and semi-compatible environments like Second Life
too ;-))".

Name: Zonja Capalini
Born: February 1, 2007
Age: 27 months
Eye color: I have two main personalities: the
color one, and the B&W one. In the color one, eye color is blue.
in the B&W one, my eyes are, unsurprisingly, B&W :-)
Weight: 0 gms (as far as I know; I don't experience weight when I
fly :-))
Height: 2m10. Aren't we all giants? I tried to
make myself more naturally sized, say 1m75 or 1m80, but everybody
was calling me "petite", and I looked like a child when I posed
beside other avies, so I finally switched back to standard
giantness :-)
Where were you created?
I was created in Orientation Island, the Second Life part of the
metaverse (Here's me at help island, recently created),
then reborn in Open Life as Zonja Capalini, in OSGrid as Zonja
Capalini too, in Legend City Online as Zonja Allen (but I don't use
that avie any more), and finally as Zonja Capalini in my own
Opensim-based grid,
the Condensation Land Grid.
Who created you?
My human operator, who shall remain anonymous. Anyway from the
beginning I experienced my virtual life as something entirely
different from my operator's. I have a different character, talk
and feel different, have different friends, and do different
things. My operator is a benevolent observer of my life, nothing
more; I am a pixel creature, nothing more (and nothing less
:-)).
Home grid at the moment?
I spend most of my time in the opensim based Condensation
Land Private Grid. I log in to Second Life every so often,
mainly to transfer stuff with Second Inventory, or when there is a
party I want to attend. I use my grid to build, take photos and
make videos; if I feel the need to socialize, I activate justincc's
Parallel Selves Message Bridge and I talk to my
SL friends.
Favorite places you like to hang around?
Well, I am biased, because I co-own it, but I love Arrabal Tango Club (in the Condensation Land
region, in Second Life and also in the Condensation Land Grid).
Arrabal was created by Favio Piek, Ludmilla Writer and myself, and we routinely
make nice parties there, which I normally film. See the opening
party and Ludmilla's last
rezzday party. I absolutely love creating machinimas.
Future plans?
We will activate hypergrid mode in the Condensation Land Grid
very soon (in two or three weeks, when we'll have sorted some
security details). See some
videos about hypergrid. Then we'll be able to travel to OSGrid
and to all the other hypergrided worlds; I've read that the people from Rezzable are going to go hyper
soon too. It will be a great world! :-)
I love Opensim and what it represents. I only exist in the spare
time of my meatrider, and this imposes some limitations, but in the
measure that it's possible I'd love to contribute to the extension
and success of Opensim. Mainly, I can take nice photos and make
cool videos; when time allows, I'll also write technical blog posts
(in my own blog, and now, articles in Maxping too
:-))
And of course the main plan (past, present and future) is to have fun: partying, socializing, making
photos and machinima, visiting new places, ...
